Makkah: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari performed Umrah late Monday night and prayed for peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah as the 66th independence day of the country also being observed.
Chairman PPP, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Senator Sehar Kamran, ambassadors of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and other members of President’s delegation were also accompanied with the President and performed Umrah.
The President is on Saudi Arabian visit to attend the fourth extraordinary summit of Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), convened by King Abdullah in Makkah, to discuss the challenges facing the Muslim world and to further strengthen unity and solidarity of the community.
