Bahawalpur: After the killing of thousands of peacocks in Thar desert in Sindh due to an epidemic now reports suggest that some 68 cows have died in Cholistan desert in Punjab due to a mysterious disease.
According to a TV report, bodies of large number of animals could be seen in different parts of Cholistan.
Locals said the casualties of the animal are due to a drought prevailing in the area which caused acute shortage of water for animals as well as human being.
Doctors said the animals are dying due to contaminated water and the deaths of animal could be averted through immediate medical assistance.
It is to mention here that situation in Thar changed after rain.
