Karachi: Due to the intense heatwave in Karachi, the matric and intermediate exams have been postponed until May 27.
According to the statement of the Chairman of the Karachi Secondary Education Board, no matric board exams will take place between May 21 and May 27, for which a notification has also been issued.
On the other hand, a spokesperson of the Sindh Chief Minister announced the decision to also postpone intermediate exams across the province, including the provincial capital Karachi, due to the prevailing heatwave.
Following the directives of the Education Boards and colleges, the matric exams of the Karachi Board have been postponed, and now the exams will be conducted starting from May 28, while the intermediate exams will now commence from May 27 instead of May 22, according to the schedule.
It should be noted that the Punjab and Sindh provinces are experiencing intense heat waves, and the Meteorological Department has predicted that Pakistan will experience record-breaking heat in the next ten days, especially with temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius in southern Punjab.
