Karachi: Prime Minister’ Adviser on Interior Affairs Rehman Malik has warned the extortion mafia that the federal agencies are behind them and they would be taken to task if they continued their activities.
Malik on Friday held a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and decided to take action against extortion mafia.
Malik said that SHO of the concerning area would be responsible for incident of extortion. Â Â Qaim Ali Shah said that every incident of killing was not targeted killing in Karachi. He said strict security arrangements would be made during Ramaz.
He said 25 to 30 thousands strong police was not sufficient to cater the need of Karachi and 10 thousands more vacancies would be filled soon.
