Islamabad: The government has decided to send the Raymond Davis case to the International Court of Justice(ICJ), The News Tribe has learnt on Monday.
Sources privy to the matter told that the government has decided to recommend the case to the ICJ as it was facing severe pressure from the US for Davis repatriation while on the other hand Pakistani nation is demanding his trial under Pakistani law.
The sources said that though the decision has been taken in this regard, it would be announced after thorough consultations.
They said that the government was hoping that the decision would pacify the US anger over the Davis issue, adding that the people will be holding hopes for justice form the ICJ.
Raymond Davis is involved in killing two Pakistanis in Lahore on Jan 27 and have been facing double murder case.
