The Guardian Report: India Involved in Killings on Pakistani Soil

London: The Guardian, a renowned British daily newspaper, has published a report alleging that the Indian government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, has been implicated in “ordered killings” on Pakistani soil.

The report lends further credence to Islamabad’s claims, with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Syrus Qazi citing “credible evidence” of Indian agents’ involvement in the killings of two Pakistani citizens on its soil. This disclosure, made in January this year, underscores the sinister nature of India’s alleged campaign of extra-territorial and extra-judicial killings.

According to The Guardian, the Indian government has adopted a policy of targeting individuals deemed hostile to India on foreign soil, with its notorious spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), allegedly spearheading these operations. The report suggests that RAW began carrying out assassinations abroad following the 2019 Pulwama attack, which claimed the lives of at least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Quoting intelligence operatives, The Guardian alleges that Indian agents have orchestrated the killings of 20 individuals on Pakistani soil since 2020, with Sikh separatists in the Khalistan movement being among the targets. The rise in targeted killings in Pakistan in 2023 was attributed to Indian intelligence sleeper cells, the report claims.

Indian intelligence operatives reportedly recruited individuals to carry out these shootings, misleading them into believing they were targeting “infidels.” The shift in approach, according to one operative quoted in the report, was influenced by agencies like Israel’s Mossad and Russia’s KGB, both of which have been linked to extrajudicial killings on foreign soil.

However, India’s Ministry of External Affairs has vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as “false and malicious anti-India propaganda.”

The Guardian’s report has stirred controversy and raised concerns about the alleged involvement of the Indian government in activities beyond its borders, prompting calls for further investigation and diplomatic action.
