New Delhi: Massive corruption by the Modi government has been exposed before the elections.
Through the passage of Electoral Bonds in 2017, the BJP executed the largest electoral scam in history, acquiring Rs. 12,930 crores through donations from the corporate sector under the guise of Electoral Bonds.
In exchange for donations, the Modi government awarded public projects and tenders to private companies. Recently, BJP initiated a portal for collecting donations for electoral campaigns and posted receipts of their donations on social media.
BJP ministers only posted receipts of donations ranging from 1000 to 2000 rupees on social media. When estimated from the receipts of BJP officials, it’s clear that these couldn’t reach the staggering amount of almost 13,000 crores in party funds. Investigative reports on websites like Scroll, News Laundry, and News Minute have exposed the loopholes in the Modi government’s dealings.
Despite the Supreme Court’s orders, the BJP refused to disclose information about the donations, claiming that the records of the donors were not maintained according to their preferences.
According to a report by the State Bank of India, Congress received less than 2000 crores from donations via Electoral Bonds, while BJP received 13,000 crores. Renowned journalist Poonam Agrawal also uncovered the electoral scam in her investigative report.
During her investigation, Poonam Agrawal performed a forensic test of purchased Electoral Bonds from the State Bank of India, which revealed clear evidence of the Modi government’s corruption.
According to reports by Scroll and News Laundry, ED, CBI, and IT have raids by law enforcement agencies on more than 40 corporate companies, also confirming the allegations of corruption.
According to News Minute, 35 pharmaceutical companies collectively donated 1000 crores, among them, 7 companies were involved in making counterfeit drugs, but suddenly, their cases were closed.
