Gaza: The Palestinian death toll from Israel’s relentless offensive against the Gaza Strip has surged to 30,631 since October 7th, 2023.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that in the past 24 hours alone, at least 97 Palestinians were killed and 123 others wounded in the ongoing violence. Among the recent casualties was the tragic loss of eight lives in an Israeli air attack on a residential home in Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza.
Furthermore, Israeli forces have escalated their aggression by bulldozing agricultural fields and uprooting 400 olive seedlings in the village of Wadi Fukin, situated west of Bethlehem. Ibrahim al-Haroub, the head of the Wadi Fukin village council, revealed to Wafa news agency that Israeli occupation forces intruded into the village’s Abu Siaj area, adjacent to the illegal Israeli settlement of Tzur Hadassah, and razed approximately 10 acres (four hectares) of land.
The situation remains dire as many victims are still trapped under rubble and debris, impeding rescue efforts. Additionally, Al Jazeera’s cameras captured Israeli forces firing upon a crowd of Palestinians gathered at the Kuwait Roundabout in Gaza City, where aid distribution was awaited, marking the second such attack within a span of days.
With the death toll climbing to 30,631 and injuries reaching 72,043, the Gaza Strip continues to reel under the relentless assault of Israeli attacks, causing widespread devastation and human suffering since October 7th.
