Istanbul: An extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Turkey, Istanbul has demanded an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
The OIC stated that the meeting strongly condemns the organized mass killings and genocide of Palestinians by the Israeli forces in Gaza, thus calling for an unconditional ceasefire in Gaza.
The meeting denounced Israel’s “systematic oppression, massacre, and genocide” of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank by Israel is extremely condemnable. The organization condemned Israel’s dissemination of misinformation and false narratives to justify its actions, calling for international scrutiny and accountability for Israeli crimes.
The OIC reiterated its stance that the realization of the Palestinian people’s inalienable rights, including national independence and sovereignty with East Jerusalem as its capital, is crucial for peace and security in the region.
Furthermore, the OIC condemned Israeli forces’ deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists and media outlets as part of a campaign to suppress truth and silence dissent.
