Occupied Jerusalem: The series of bombardments by the occupying Zionist forces continues in Rafah, resulting in the martyrdom of 103 Palestinians.
During the past 24 hours, 103 Palestinians were killed and 145 wounded by the Israeli forces, bringing the Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip to 28,576 with 68,291 injured since October 7.
The situation in Rafah has reached a critical juncture, with Israeli forces intensifying their military campaign and targeting civilian areas. Israeli airstrikes and artillery targeted various areas, including inhabited homes in Deir al-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp, resulting in casualties.
Amidst these developments, the United States Senate has approved an additional $14 billion in aid to Israel, a move that underscores the gravity of the situation. This decision comes as tensions mount with Palestinians facing the grim prospect of widespread casualties and displacement.
On the other hand, Britain has expressed disagreement with Israel’s decision to start a ground operation in Rafah. Britain questions how Israel can attack Rafah, the refuge of homeless Palestinians.
Despite mounting pressure to halt its military operations, Israel remains determined to proceed with its plans for a ground assault on Rafah.
The Israeli offensive has resulted in 85% of Gaza’s population being internally displaced. Moreover, the UN highlights acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, with 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure damaged or destroyed.
