Relentless Israeli Attacks in Gaza, Death Toll Surpasses 25,474, and More Than 62,000 Injured

Gaza: The indiscriminate and brutal series of Israeli attacks continue in Gaza, resulting in the tragic death toll of Palestinian martyrs surpassing 25,474, with over 62,000 individuals sustaining injuries and hundreds of thousands left homeless.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, from January 19 to 21, an additional 343 Palestinians were martyred in various Israeli attacks, and 573 more were wounded.

As of January 20, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that over 85% population has been displaced in various areas of Gaza. OCHA also highlighted that 15 different hospitals, including Al-Shifa Hospital, have resumed operations on a limited scale, but several others remain inactive.

According to OCHA, humanitarian aid delivery for displaced individuals in Gaza remains challenging, with only 7 out of the planned 29 relief missions reaching Gaza in the first two weeks of January. These missions included essential items, such as life-saving medications.

According to the United Nations, Israeli authorities are creating obstacles to the ongoing relief efforts in Gaza. Up until January 21, only 325 trucks carrying medicines, food, and other essential items managed to reach Gaza through the Rafah and Kerem Shalom border crossings.

Due to Israeli bombardments, hundreds of thousands of homeless Palestinians in camps, hospitals, schools, and on the streets are facing severe shortages of food and medicine, leading to outbreaks of diseases.

On the other front, the occupying forces have taken 22 more Palestinians into custody from the West Bank. Furthermore, Israeli occupying forces have killed 369 Palestinians since October 7 in the occupied West Bank.

Amid clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Jabalia and Khan Yunis, three more Israeli soldiers were reported dead.

In the midst of the war frenzy, the Israeli Prime Minister has once again rejected Hamas’s demands for a ceasefire to secure the release of prisoners. Additionally, two Hezbollah members were martyred in Israeli drone attacks in southern Lebanon.

As a response to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, ships have started declaring, “No connection with Israel” to avoid being targeted.
