Northern Gaza: In the recent Israeli onslaught on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, at least 90 Palestinians have been martyred, and over 100 others sustained serious injuries.
According to the official Palestinian Wafa news agency, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the attacks targeted residential blocks inhabited by the al-Barsh and Alwan families in the Jabalia neighborhood.
Wafa mentioned in its report that among the martyrs, there are women and children, and dozens are still missing.
Search and rescue teams, along with local residents, were initially looking for the wounded, and it was feared that more casualties might be found beneath the rubble.
Many of the injured, including children, were transported to nearby medical centers, already overwhelmed with patients.
A spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry informed Reuters that in the Israeli attacks on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, 90 Palestinians have been martyred. Hamas’ Al-Aqsa Radio reported that in another missile strike on a house belonging to the Shihab family, 24 Palestinians were martyred.
A member of the group stated to Reuters that the son of Islamic Jihad spokesperson Dawoud Shihab is also among the martyrs.
A physician revealed that numerous individuals in and around the Shihab family’s home and nearby buildings have either been martyred or injured.
He explained over the phone that it is believed that the number of martyrs beneath the rubble is very high, but due to the intensity of the Israeli attacks, there is no way to remove the rubble and rescue them.
In Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, medical professionals reported 12 Palestinians killed and dozens injured. In the south, in Rafah, an Israeli airstrike on a house resulted in at least four individuals being martyred.
Since October 7, more than 19,000 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza in Israeli barbaric attacks, the majority of whom are children and women.
