NASA Releases Images of Star Exploded 340 Years Ago

Washington: NASA has released images of the remnants of a star that exploded 340 years ago, captured by the James Webb Space Telescope.

According to international news agencies, the United States’ space agency, NASA, has unveiled images of the remains of a supernova taken through the James Webb Space Telescope. These images, taken by the Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) installed in the telescope, reveal the remnants of a Cas A (Cassiopeia A) star located 11,000 light-years away from Earth. The images display the drum-like structures inside the remnants of the star.

The NIRCam captured the remnants of the star in a wavelength that highlights the purple color, indicating ionized gas.

Researchers have explained that Cassiopeia A, the star, exploded approximately 340 years ago, leaving behind delicate, filament-like structures resembling shattered glass. Scientists express that obtaining information about this project after so many years of study is truly remarkable. This information will assist scientists in understanding how the star exploded.
