Artificial intelligence genius, ex-CEO of OpenAI, best known for its AI chatbot ChatGPT, Sam Altman, renowned for AI-driven chat and assistance in various types of writing, has now joined Microsoft AI after he was fired from OpenAI.
Microsoft made an announcement that Altman is joining their team. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella revealed that Altman will be part of their team and will lead a new advanced AI research team, and Greg Brockman, OpenAI’s president, is also set to join Microsoft.
It is noteworthy that in recent days, the OpenAI board terminated the employment of Sam Altman, the man behind the remarkable AI chatbot ChatGPT. Following this development, speculations were rife that Altman might return to his company, OpenAI. However, Microsoft’s announcement has clarified that Altman is becoming a part of the Microsoft AI team.
According to tech news reports, the co-founder and CEO of Twitch Emmett Shear will be replacing Sam Altman’s old job at OpenAI.
