Islamabad: The Ministry of Finance has issued a notification to establish the minimum salary for federal civil servants at Rs. 32,000.
According to the Ministry of Finance’s notification, the minimum salary for all federal civil servants, including contract employees, will be set at a minimum of Rs. 32,000. The minimum salary of 32,000 rupees for federal civil servants was allocated in the budget after approval from the President and the Ministry of Finance.
Moreover, employees who are presently earning below this new minimum wage will be granted a supplementary allowance to narrow the difference.
This raise in minimum salary has been made after considering the rising inflation in the country to address the financial hardships faced by employees.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the notification for a minimum salary of 32,000 rupees will come into effect from July 1, 2023.
