Islamabad: The decision to deport all illegal immigrants from Pakistan has been finalized. A deadline of November 1st has been set for illegal immigrants.
According to sources, an important decision was made regarding illegal immigrants under the National Action Plan during an apex committee meeting. It was decided that all illegal immigrants in Pakistan would be deported.
Sources suggest that only Afghan migrants holding “registration evidence” will be considered eligible to reside in Pakistan, and Afghan citizens with valid visas will also be allowed to travel to Pakistan.
As per sources, all illegal immigrants will be bound to sell all their assets and return to their home countries by the specified date. After the deadline, task forces will take action against illegal properties, and their assets will be confiscated.
On the other hand, the caretaker Minster of Interior Sarfraz Bugti confirmed that a deadline of November 1st has been given to illegal immigrants. He stated that illegal immigrants would return to their countries before November 1st. After November 1st, task forces will take action against illegal properties, and their assets will be confiscated.
He mentioned that the task forces would consist of law enforcement personnel and members of intelligence agencies. The purpose of the task forces is to apprehend individuals with fake identity cards and seize illegal properties.
At present, there are approximately 4.4 million Afghan citizens in Pakistan, and out of these, nearly 1.4 million Afghan citizens are registered. Measures will be taken against illegal immigrants after November 1st.
