Washington: The United States has announced new sanctions against Russia in response to its actions in the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.
According to American news agencies, the US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has imposed sanctions on Russian individuals who have contributed to weakening Ukraine on behalf of Russia during the war, as well as on Russian governmental, financial institutions, and technology firms.
It is reported that nearly 100 sanctions will be imposed, and the US Department of State has included more than 70 individuals in the list of sanctions.
In a statement, it was mentioned that Russia, apart from pursuing its personal interests, has been preparing military equipment while fueling the war, leading to the inclusion of Russian institutions that supported this conflict in the list of sanctions.
