Caretaker Cabinet under PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Sworn In; 6 Special Assistants Appointed

Islamabad: The caretaker federal cabinet has finalized the portfolios of its members and appointed 6 special assistants as well.

According to details, Jalil Abbas Jilani will be the Foreign Minister, Murtaza Solangi the Information Minister, Sarfraz Bugti will hold the Interior Ministry as well as Overseas Pakistanis and Narcotics Control ministries, Lieutenant General Retired Anwar Ali Hyder will be the Minister for Defence and Defence Production.

Ahmed Irfan Aslam will be the Minister for Law and Justice, Natural Resources, Climate Change, and Water Resources, Muhammad Ali Power, Energy, and Petroleum minister, Shamshad Akhtar will hold the portfolio of Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics, and Privatization.

Gohar Ejaz will be the Minister for Commerce, Textile Industry and Production, Dr. Omar Saif will hold IT and Science and Technology portfolios, Samaad Saeed Minister for Planning and Development, and Jamal Shah will have Heritage and Culture ministry.

Madad Ali Sindhi will be the Minister for Education, Interfaith Harmony, and Youth Affairs, Dr. Nadeem Jan will be the Minister for National Health Services, and Khalil George Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment.

Aneeq Ahmed will hold Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony portfolio, and Shahid Ashraf Tarar will be the Minister for Communications, Railways, Postal Services, Maritime Affairs, and Ports.

Retired air marshal Farhat Hussain will be Advisor for Aviation, Ahad Khan Cheema will be Advisor to PM for Establishment Division, and Waqar Masood has been appointed Advisor of Finance with the status of a state minister.

The caretaker cabinet has also decided to appoint 6 special assistants including Mushaal Hussein Mullick as Special Assistant on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, and Jawad Sohrab Malik as Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis.

Vice Admiral Retired Aftab Rabbani will be Special Assistant on Maritime Affairs, Waqar Shah Special Assistant on Tourism, Dr Jehanzeb Khan Special Assistant on SIFC, and Syeda Arifa Zehra Special Assistant on Education and Interfaith Harmony.
