Kabul: The Taliban government has suspended all Swedish activities in Afghanistan in response to the incident of blasphemy of the Quran in Sweden. Taliban leader Zabihullah Mujahid stated that all Swedish activities in Afghanistan will remain suspended until an official apology is made for blaspheming the Quran and insulting the beliefs of Muslims at a governmental level.
On the other hand, the nominated ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to the United Nations, Suahil Shaheen, clarified that no one, including neighboring countries or any other nation, will be allowed to use Afghanistan’s territory against any country. He said some media outlets have misquoted him and that he had stated that no one will be permitted to use Afghanistan’s territory against any country, including neighboring countries, but as far as the internal security of a country is concerned, it is their responsibility.
