Ramadan 2016: Moon sighting committees meeting in UAE, KSA today

RIYADH:  Moon sighting committees for Ramadan 2016 will meet on Sunday (today) in Saudi Arabia (KSA) and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Saudi Supreme Court of has called on all Muslims across the Kingdom to sight the crescent of the holy month today evening and register their testimonies.

The committee in UAE will meet after Maghreb prayers today at the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi.

Similar committees will also meet in parts of America, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, and Singapore.

In Pakistan, the meeting of zonal and central Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will be held at their respective offices on Monday for the sighting of otherwise of the crescent of Ramadan, 1437 A.H.

Muneeb-ur-Rehman will chair the meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in the building of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) camp office, Karachi.
