Pakistan Cup: Umpire Khalid Mehmood leaves field

FAISALABAD: Deployed for the third Pakistan Cup 2016 match between Sindh and Balochistan, umpire Khalid Mehmood had to quit umpiring in the middle due to an emergency in the family.

According to details, Khalid Mehmood was supervising today’s game along with Ghaffar Kazmi when he received a sad news of her sister’s death in 4oth over of the first innings.

At the end of the over, Khalid Mehmood left the field and third umpire Ahsan Raza took his responsibilities on the field.

The match has been halted due to rain, and Sindh have so far scored  266/4 the tournament with 4 overs still in hand. Opener Sami Aslam on 108* and Sarfraz Ahmed, 21, are on the crease.
