This is highly frustrating scenario when you have to get up on time and you are lying awake late at night. Many people drink hot milk or take shower to call sleep but there are few more simple and incredible ways to call sleep,
Inhale through left nostril
Doing this reduces blood pressure and soothes you. Lie on your left side, rest a finger on your right nostril to close it. Start slow, deep breathing in the left nostril and the job is done.
Try to stay awake
When you will try to stay awake your mind will rebel. The brain does not process negatives well so when you say no to sleep it interprets it an instruction to sleep and eye muscles tire and you get asleep.
Recall your day
Recalling the day cleans your mind of worries. Recall conversations, sights and sounds. It will relax you and you will soon be ready to sleep.
Roll your eyes
Closing your eyes and rolling the balls stimulates the process of sleep and help triggers the release of sleep hormone, melatonin.
Start imagining
Explore your happy place, imagine smelling flowers, walking down a tropical paradise and soon you will drift off.
