Eng dump NZ to enter WT20 2016 final

DELHI: Jesson Roy guides England to WT20 2016 final after they beat mighty New Zealand by 7 wickets inĀ in the first semifinal of ICC WT20 2016 at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium New Delhi.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and chose to field first.

New Zealand opener Martin Guptil took a blistering start, but soon went to pavilion after edging an out side the off stump ball byĀ Villey.

Skipper Williamson (32) and Munro (45) added 74 valuable runs to take the score 91/2 in 10.3 overs.

In came Anderson and took charge of England bowler right from there where skipper had left.

But England had different game plan for last 8 overs, their bowling line and length changed completely which unsettled New Zealand set batsman Munro (45). Once he was gone, Anderson too fell for 28, and New Zealand from 107/2 (13.2 0vers) ended on 153/8 in 20.

England in reply were on the mark straight away, J Roy took charge on Kiwi bowlers just from the first ball.

He just blew whole NZ bowling line up during his blistering inning of 78 0ff 44 balls, helping his team a seven-wicket win over tournament’s favourite.

Joe Root 27* and Jose Buttler 32* played a little cameo in the end.
