WT20 2016: Afghanistan post 153/7 for Sri Lanka

KOLKATA: Courtesy to captains knock from Asghar Stanikzai, Afghanistan post a good total of 153/7 on the board in the fourth Super-10 round match of ICC WT20 2016 at Eden Garden, Kolkata.

Batting first, Afghanistan openers could enjoy the Eden Garden conditions and looked struck, and when Sri Lanka introduced spinners, the wickets began to tumble as dot balls had mounted extra pressure on them.

Afghanistan were 51-4 in 11th over when skipper Asghar along with Samiullah began to take on Sri Lankan bowlers, they put up a valuable  61-run partisanship, helped Afghanistan post a fighting total of 153/7.

Asghar Stanikzai top scored with 62 runs off 47 balls and Samiullah added 31 runs to the teams total.

Sri Lanka when come to bat, will require 154 runs to win this contest.
