LONDON: From hover boards to self lacing shoes 1989 classic Back to the Future gave us hope for these products and now many of those products we saw Marty and Doc using in the film have finally come to life.
5. Hover Boards
Hover Boards are here and thriving although they are not on the same technological level as Marty’s board from Back to the Future technology different groups such as Hendo are also working on bringing those to life.
4. Self Lacing Shoes
Nike has finally announced that their self lacing shoe Hyper Adapt 1.0 will be hitting the market this year. The best part is, Marty also wore a shoe from Nike and now Nike has brought it to life before Adidas. Take a look Nike’s preview video.
3. 3D Hologram Technology
Hologram didn’t just appear in Back to the Future it has been showcased in many films time and again however we are now successfully using Hologram technology. It’s use is however limited due to the extremely high prices it is at least a reality today.
2. Flying Cars
Although we aren’t quite there yet but we have reached a point where manned drones (airplanes) are operated remotely from another location and we have drones that anyone can control through a remote control. It won’t be long when we see the fusion happen.
1. Car on Renewable fuel
Toyota brought us Doc Brown’s car, at least in part, Toyota Mirai used renewable fuel just like Doc Brown’s car that could fly and was a time machine. Well for now we can settle for a lesser version but we all know we secretly wait for the real deal to happen in our life.
