DUBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former star all-rounder Azhar Mahmood as bowling coach of Pakistan cricket team for Asia up 2016 and T20 Cricket World Cup, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to reports, Azhar Mahmood replaceed current bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed before International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 Cricket World Cup, 2016.
Mushtaq Ahmad will not part of team management during two back to back events of cricket. It is important mention here that he is currently playing for Islamabad United in ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to sources, Mushtaq Ahmed will likely to appoint as head coach of National Cricket Academy (NCA). The post of NCA is vacant as Mohammad Akram resigned from his post.
Reports revealed that PCB is also is mulling to appoint all-time batting legend Sir Viven Richard as batting coach of Pakistan cricket team.
