State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) launched the mobile application to check the currency note. Latest application easily identify the fake currency note.
In October, SBP warned Pakistani citizens about the presence of fake currency notes being openly circulated in the market.
According to report issued by SBP, fake notes were ones that did not have enhanced security measures in them, a staple feature of notes issued between 2005 and 2008.
Mobile app for iOS devices (iPad, iPhones) and Android educates the users about tell-tale signs behind a real and a fake Pakistani rupee note of any denomination.
Users can select the rupee denomination from the app and see pictures that detail the unique security safeguards built-in the rupee note. Denominations include 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000 PKR notes.
