ISLAMABAD: Governing council member, Ismail Haider Mallik, of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has said International Cricket Council has lifted ban from spot-fixing players so they have no issue with their playing.
According to details, after Mohammad Amir, who had been added to the list of foreign players likely to play BPL, which is going to start next month in Dhaka, Mohammad Asif also got green signal from BPL administration to participate in the league.
Local newspaper has revealed that administration of BPL has no issue with their participation in the upcoming league and some franchises have shown interest in wanting them.
Also, BPL Governing Council Member-Secretary Ismail Haider Mallik said to a local Bangladeshi newspaper “They have approached us and as ICC has lifted the ban on them, we see no reason why there should be any problem with their playing.”
He further said that “The franchises are free to recruit them.”
