Pak v Eng 1st Test Day 1: Day belongs to Pakistan

ABU DHABI: Pakistan has scored 286 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of day one of 1st Test match of 3 match series against England at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

According to details, Pakistani skipper Misbah-ul-Haq chose to bat first after winning the toss but lost Shan Massod in just 3rd over of the innings at total of 5 runs.

Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik steadily build the Pakistani innings and scored 168 runs jointly, Pakistan lost Hafeez at the total of 173.

Hafeez was unlucky as he got out just before his century, he made 98 runs.

Then came the hero of the day Younis Khan who failed to deliver a huge innings but his 38 runs made him pass Legendary Javed Miandad and became the highest runs scorer in Test matches for Pakistan.

Younis Khan got out at total of 247 and then son after Misbah went back to pavilion at total of 251 runs.

Shoaib Malik made a delicate century after making a comeback to Test cricket after 5 year, he scored un beaten 124 runs

Shoaib Malik and Asad Shafiq will start the Pakistani innings on 2nd day of Test match.

James Anderson was the pick of the bowlers from English side and took 2 wickets while Broad and Stokes took one wicket each.
