KARACHI: Pakistan legendary batsman Younis Khan has expressed his desire to play and perform like former batting legend Hanif Mohammad, TheNewsTribe.com reportd.
He was addressing to media Karachi, he said ‘I was taught how to bat with an example of legendary batsman Hanif Mohammad’.
Younis Said ‘I am very thankful to Hanif Mohammad as he came specially to appreciate my batting performance against Sri Lanka back in 2009 but i was unfortunate that I could not break his 337 runs record, highest runs by Pakistani in Test innings, and got out on 313 which had dissapointed Hanif Mohammad as well’.
Younis also requested government to support Hanif Mohammad cricket academy so that young blood can get a chance to learn extra ordinary skills from legends like Hanif Mohammad.
He praised former legend and said no Pakistani has ever played an innings like him, he was the master class.
It is to be kept in mind that younis Khan is very near to break record of most runs in Test matches for Pakistan By legend Javed Miandad and he is very hopeful to do so in the series against England in United Arab Emirates.
