Kareena signs Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor’s next, reports

LAHORE: If rumours from the B-town to be believed, then Bollywood Bebo, Kareena Kapoor, despite controversy between her husband Saif Ali Khan and Pakistan media, has signed a movie with veteran Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor.

Earlier this week, news were making rounds that Shoaib Mansoor has offered a film to Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor.

Kareena is a huge fan of Shoaib Mansoor and had expressed her desire to work with him.

“I really want to work with him, He has made some fantastic content driven films and is a wonderful filmmaker,” the actress had said few weeks back, reported IBN.

Her wish did not go unanswered because as soon as the Pakistani director heard about this, he flew to India to offer Bebo an offer in his next film, reported Mumbai Mirror.

“Over the last two years I’ve chosen to be a part of only commercial successes. I’d just got married, wanted time to travel and be home with my husband, so I opted to do just one-two films a year. Now that I’m settled, I want to work with new, interesting directors,” explained the actress.

After 15 years, I’ve done the rounds with all the Khans, and now it’s time to get out of my comfort zone,” she added.

The Express Tribune reported earlier this week that Shoaib Mansoor’s next is a heroine-eccentric film which will take off next year.

It is also believed that Kareena and Shoaib’s collaboration is going to be a women-centric film with Krishika Lulla was the producer.

According to a report in DNA, a source has informed them, “Kareena wanted to do a film with Shoaib and when the director learned about it, he came down to India to discuss a few ideas with her. She has liked them and will take up a film with him soon.”

Producer Krishika Lulla refrained from confirming anything about Kareena Kapoor but stated that it was true, both her and Shoaib Mansoor were indeed working on a film that was women-centric.
“It’s true, Shoaib and I are collaborating for a female-oriented film.” Krishika also revealed that the film was in its scripting stage and refrained from commenting on the cast or other details involving the movie.
