A roadway in Karachi named after Captain Isfandyar Shaheed

KARACHI: A roadway in Korangi area of Karachi has been named after Captain (Shaheed) Asfandyar Bukhari to pay homage to the young martyr.

Sindh Local Bodies Minister Syed Nasir Hussain on Sunday took the initiative.

Captain Asfandyar was among 29 people who embraced martyrdom in Taliban’s assault on Badaber air force base in Peshawar on Friday.

Addressing a ceremony held to commemorate National Defence Day, he said the spirit of the defenders of the country, be it 1965 or 2015, is cherished by the entire nation.

The nation can never forget the brave souls who fought and are still fighting for the protection of the country against aggressors
and terrorists, he added.
