KARACHI: Close aide to Pakistan Peoples Party chief Asif Zardari and former Chairman of Sindh Board of Revenue Shakib Qureshi has fled to London fearing arrest.
Shakib Qureshi was involved in land corruption along with former Petroleum Minister and Chairman of Higher Education Commission Sindh chapter Dr Asim Hussain.
He is told to be close aide and secret-holder of Dr Asim and Asif Zardari.
It is pertinent to mention that Dr Asim was arrested yesterday from Karachi and had been handed over to Rangers for investigation over corruption charges.
Source say that he has agreed to cooperate with investigation team and also has revealed some prominent names involved in mega corruption.
Police and Rangers have come into action after his revelations, and further arrest are expected.
On the other hand, Sindh government has challenged Dr Asim’s arrest in Sindh High Court seeking his bail.
