Pak-India series uncertain under ‘heated’ political atmosphere: PCB Chairman

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shehreyar Khan said on Friday that if political atmosphere remains heated then the series is unlikely to be finalized, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

He said that the recent attack on Gurdaspur should not affect Pak-India cricket relationship.

Talking to a foreign news agency, Chairman PCB said that in the past cricket has suffered because of strains between the two countries.

He said that if the political climate between the two countries remained heated then prospective series will not materialize. However Pakistan cannot, he said, wait for more than a month or two at most.

It is pertinent to mention here that an agreement took between Pakistan and India to play 5 series in the next 8 years.
