Spell against Watson was turning point of my career: Wahab Riaz

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz declared bowling spell against Australian batsman Shane Watson as turning point of his career. 

While talking to German media, Wahab Riaz said that Pakistan team now wants to win each and every game. He also that every player giving his best to win the game.

Pakistani pacer revealed that he was so much upset after he left the team due to the hand injury. Wahab Riaz told that the spell against Australian batsman Shane Watson was the turning point of his career.

He said that he learnt where to pitch a ball and get wicket of opponent team’s player. Wahab Riaz expressed his wish that he want to become  like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younus.

He wished that people remember him like Wasim and Waqar and he told that he is giving his best to grab top position. Wahab said that Waqar Younus and Mustaq Ahmad helped me in improving pace and also they worked on my kine and length.

On Saturday, Wahab Riaz has been ruled out of the two-match Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka following a hand injury.

Newcomer left-arm quick Zia-ul-Haq has replaced Wahab in the T20 series commencing from 30th July.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play two T20 matches in Colombo on July 30 and August 1.
