Pakistan declined to play tri-series with Zimbabwe, West Indies

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declined to play triangular series including West Indies and Zimbabwe after Pakistan sealed the series against Sri Lanka 3-1 to gain two most valuable points, Dawn News reported.

According to report, PCB withdrew from Triangular series, keeping it a bilateral against host Zimbabwe in order to secure its place in ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Pakistan, who proposed the  series earlier seeking a fight for the Trophy with West Indies who now stands 9 in ICC rankings following Pakistan’s victory, has reportedly denied to stay in the tri-series following its series win over Sri lanka.

West Indian Cricket Board’s verdict is yet to come over the issue.
