Pakistan Army rescues Japanese mountaineer from Broad Peak

SKARDU – Pakistan Army on Wednesday saved the life of another mountaineer through chopper in their third rescue operation of the month. 

Pakistan Army chopper evacuated Japaneses mountaineer Miss Sumyo Tsuzki and shifted to hospital.

According ti Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) leg of Miss Sumyo Tsuzki fractured at Broad Peak base camp. ISPR revealed that it was third rescue operation by Army aviation pilots.

ISPR said in a press release that Miss Sumyo has been shifted to Combine Military Hospital, Skardu.

Earlier, Pakistan Army rescued a 38 year old US mountaineer from the K-2 base camp.

Robert Jackson is 38 year old, US citizen who is part of a 27-member team on an voyage of K-2 starting from June 16.

According to statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), “He suffered height sickness enroute to K-2 summit and was brought to Skardu through army aviation helicopters,”

Samina Baig, the first Pakistani woman and the third Pakistani to climb Mount Everest, and her brother, Mirza Ali, are also on a recent troop to climb K-2.
