Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Sri Lankan authorities bans alcohol in stadium

COLOMBO – Sri Lankan Cricket Board decided to ban alcohol during the fourth One Day International (ODI) match of the five match series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Sri lankan cricket authorities said strict action will be taken against any unethical and wild behavior. According to Sri Lankan authorities glass bottles, liquor, sharp objects, lighters and hooters are ban in the stadium.

“Any unruly behavior by any spectator will be severely dealt with and may even be subject to eviction from the grounds,” the statement added.

Upmires held up the play for 30 minutes due to the disturbance created by the crowed. An unknown object was also thrown on Pakistani player by crowd during the third ODI of the series.

Triumphant Pakistan takes on Sri Lanka in the 4th of the Five-match One Day International series at Colombo on July 22 to seal the series win.

Pakistan need to win the series at least with the margin of 4-1. The series loss may darken Pakistan’s chances get the ticket of ICC Champions trophy 2017.

However, Pakistan Cricket board arranged the Tri-angular series ahead of this series to make a way for Pakistan team for mega event of ICC.

Pakistan team needs to improve the ODI rankings to surpass West Indies team and get the ticket of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as both the teams contain 88 points ranked 8th and 9th respectively in ICC ODI team ranking.
