DUBLIN – Hon Kong beat Afghanistan in Twnety20 Cricket World Qualifiers and got the ticket for mega event of International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.
Batting first Afghanistan team scored 161 runs in the limited 20 overs. Nawroz Mangal scored 53 runs in just 36 balls and remain top scorer for his team.
Asghar Stanikzai scored 29 runs and Mohammad Shahzad contribute 20 runs in team total. Haseeb Amjad took three wickets for his team.
In reply Hong Kong chased the target of 162 runs with lost of five wickets on last ball of the inning. JJ Atkinson scored 47 and Nizakat Khan scored 26 runs.
Babar Hayat’s inning of 20 runs in 9 balls turned the game in favor of Honk Kong. After this win Hong Kong got ticket for playing T20 world cup 2016.
On the other hand, now Afghanistan team to win next game for make its space in mega event.
