PESHAWAR: Nasir Durrani, IG Police KPK, has said that ISIS (Daahish) presence cannot be ignored in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He explained that members of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan have switched to IS after conceding defeat as a result of operation Zarb-e-Azb.
“It is not the new thing that IS is present in Pakistan but situation is under control”. Nasir Durrani told.
IG KPK said that there is remarkable descend in terror activities as compared to last four or five years, and this has been only possible due the combined efforts of police and Army.
He told that security personnel arrested commander of IS in January, 2015. He also revealed that two other members of IS also arrested they were recruiting and sending fighters to Syria.
These terrorist arrested during raid made by security forces on the information of intelligence agencies. On the other hand Government of Pakistan always denied the presence of military group in Pakistan.
Pakistan army killed more than 2,700 militants in Operation Zarb-i-Azb in North Waziristan.
During last couple of weeks, two key commanders of IS including Shahid ullah Shahid killed in several drone attacks.
