MIRPUR: It is party time for Bangladesh as they have cemented their place in ICC Champions Trophy 2017 after winning the second of three-match ODI series against mighty South Africa by 7 wickets and 22 overs in hand at Mirpur and leveled it 1-1.
On the other hand, Bangladesh’s entry in the Trophy has rung an alarming bell for Pakistan as green shirts are in do-or-die situation in ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Now that Bangladesh have qualified, Pakistan have to win the series and win with big margin of 5-0 or at least 4-1 to overtake West Indies in the ICC ODI teams ranking.
Currently Pakistan stands on 9th spot in the list, a heavy-margin series win can put Shaheens in the race for the title.
