Shan’s maiden Test hundred sets the tone

PALLEKELE: Pakistan’s young opener Shan Masood Monday completed his first Test century in the fourth innings of final Test match against Sri Lanka.

Shan Masood who was droppedĀ for Test series against Bangladesh, proved his selection right and scored a well-crafted, mature ton at the time when Pakistan were two down for just 13 runs, chasing a mammoth target of 377.

Shan Masood is not out on 114 of 198 balls with eleven 4s and only sixer.

He together with Younis Khan put up a record 217 runs stand for fourth wicket. The duo will resume proceedings for the guests tomorrow as Pakistan is still 147 runs away from a historicĀ  victory.
