GUJRANWALA – Pakistani social media jolted with the Gujranwala Special Train incident in which 12 passengers died including Lt.Col Amir, on Thursday.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif issued the instructions to relative departments to mobilize all resources to rescue passengers of Gujranwala train incident. He also gave instructions to provide best medical facilities to injured passengers.
Major General Asim Bhajwa said that 80 passengers were rescued from the canal. He also confirmed the incident and posted a message on social networking website. In his message he said that “4 bogies of special train carrying mil troops to Kharian fell over bridge near Jamke Chattha in Canal. Rescue underway.Casualties expected.”
