Asif Zardari invites Prime Minister for iftar dinner on Friday

ISLAMABAD – Co Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Ali Zardari, has invited the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  to an Iftar part on Friday.

According to the sources, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif had a telephone contact in which Zardari invited the PM to an Iftar dinner at Zardari house, Islamabad.

However, experts opined that Nawaz Sharif might not attend the Iftar dinner due to the controversial remarks made by Asif Ali Zardari against the military establishment of the country.

The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Imran Khan, has already refused to attend the dinner.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif had postponed meeting with Asif Ali Zardari due to his derogatory remarks against Pakistan Army and Rangers in the wake of Karachi operation.

It is anticipated that during the meeting the political spectrum of Pakistan would hold discussions over the current political scenario of the country.
