MQM walks out of Sindh Assembly

KARACHI – The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has walked out of Sindh Assembly in a protest against a statement made by the Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif.

According to media reports, MQM members in Sindh Assembly walked out after they were not allowed to table resolution against Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif.

MQM member of Sindh Assembly said that Khawaja Asif has hurt millions of Muhajirs across Sindh with his controversial remarks, he should apologize for that.

 

Earlier, the Defence Minister had stated that ‘real Muhajirs’ were the ones who had migrated to Pakistan from Indian regions of Jalandhar and Ludhiana.
