ISLAMABAD – The Election Commission Of Pakistan has issued the re-election schedule for PK-95, a constituency of Lower Dir, on Friday.
The election of the said constituency was suspended by the Election Commission Of Pakistan because women voters were not allowed to vote in that election.
In the complete schedule issued by ECP, the nomination papers for the candidates will be submitted on June 15 and June 16.
Inspection of nomination papers will be conducted by ECP on June 18 and June 19.
Re-election in PK-95 will be held on July 12, with 53000 women voters will also be allowed to vote in the election.
However, previously, Aizaz Malik of Jamaat-e-Islami won the re-election in said constituency after the seat fell vacant by the appointment of JI Chief as Senator.
Election Commission of Pakistan took the strict notice of not allowing women to cast their vote and suspended the election, and now issued the schedule for re-election.
