NEWYORK- It is a known fact that an apple a day keeps the doctor away but the recent development has revealed that same is the case for eggs, the daily use of which provides shield against Diabetes.

According to the research published by University of Eastern Finland that daily intake of eggs reduces the risk for type 2 Diabetes.

The research further reveals that a person who eats 4 eggs a week is 37% less prone to risk of Diabetes as compared to one who eats 1 a week.

According to the study the daily use of eggs decreases the glucose level in blood due to which the risk of Diabetes is also lessened.

Type 2 diabetes is growing widespread across the world. This research is conducted by analyzing the dietary habits of 2,332 men the ages of whom ranged between 42 and 60 years during 1984-1989.

During the following 19 years, 432 of men under consideration were reported positive for Type 2 diabetes.

Then it was found that egg usage is connected with the lower risk of Type 2 diabetes, along with the lower glucose levels in blood.

The connection was same when the factors like physical activity, body mass index, smoking and intake of fruits and vegetables were included in the research.

It is pertinent that eggs comprise nutrients which have positive implications on glucose metabolism, and low grade inflammation thus reducing the risk for Type 2 diabetes.
