TANK – Two men broke into a house in the area of Chini Michan Khel in Tank and opened fire, killing a police officer and his mother.
Sources told that two unidentified men entered a house and opened fire which resulted in the loss of two lives whereas two others were injured.
The deceased are identified as a police officer and his mother who were present inside the house along with two others who were injured. The dead bodies have been transferred to the hospital for post mortem.
The cause of incident remains unclear yet. The area has been cordoned off by the police and clues are being collected to further seep into the matter.
Police is of the view that it might be a retaliatory act from the criminals in reaction to the operations the local police had been carrying out in the region. However, nothing could be concluded prior to the arrival of investigation reports.
