Azhar, Younis shine as Pakistan score 323/3

DHAKA: Azhar Ali and Younis Khan centuries have helped Pakistan to score 323 on loss of three wickets at stumps on the opening day of the second and final Test against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium on Wednesday.

Younis Khan completed his 29th century as he scored outstanding 148 while Azhar Ali complete his eight ton and was unbeaten on 127 at stumps day.

Both batsmen put on 250 for the third wicket.

Mohammad Hafeez lost his wicket for (8) and Sami Aslam (19) in the morning session to slide to 58-2 after Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field.

Younis was dismissed shortly before stumps, but skipper Misbah-ul Haq kept Azhar company at the close on nine.

Mohammad Shahid picked up two wickets while Taijul Islam managed to pick up one for the host side.
