Jesse Ryder suspended for a match for serious dissent

CHRISTCHURCH: New Zealand star opener Jesse Ryder has been suspended for a match in domestic cricket over serious dissent, including the use of offensive language.

According to details, the batsman will not be part of the final round the domestic first class season after admitting a charge of serious dissent, including the use of offensive language.

He will miss Otago’s match against Auckland starting on April 1.

He did not contest a level two breach of New Zealand Cricket’s Code of Conduct, having reportedly unleashed a tirade of swearing when given out when playing against the Northern Knights on Saturday.
